soup kitchen
Our current project was born in 2008 from the initial idea of transporting the concept of German soup kitchens to India.
Since 2009, we have been offering hot meals to homeless people in need on the streets of Bodhgaya.
The meals are prepared in our kitchen. The meals are vegetarian and consist mainly of fresh vegetables, rice and Indian bread (rotis, purism or chapatis).
For 15 euros a month we can provide one person with a hot meal every day.
Sushma, our school cook, has been with us since the very beginning. She prepares meals for our children and the homeless every day.
Our team has served more than 400,000 hot meals since the start of the project.
